At this year’s Qulacomm Tech conference in Hawaii, naturally, everything revolved around 5G. The company will be equipping several 5G smartphones with its new processor, the Snapdragon 855, available by the next year. Among the new features is the ability to process A.I., mixed reality and of course 5G. But that’s not the only new product that should attract attention. In addition, new information was announced regarding the 5G device from OnePlus, which will be introduced in just a few months.

OnePlus first to enter the European market

OnePlus is confident: The 5G compatible smartphone will be the first launching on the market, at least in Europe. This will be possible thanks to the just mentioned Snapdragon processor. The two companies have been working side-by-side since the first OnePlus smartphone, so it’s no surprise that the new 5G technologies come together.

How the new OnePlus will be introduced in Europe? EE, British mobile network operator and part of the BT Group, was announced to be the launching partner for the upcoming mobile phone. In order to provide the best possible 5G experience, the two companies have formed a Research and Development (R&D) partnership. This marks the next big step for the leading position in the current rat race.

With that, Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer division, commented: “EE and OnePlus have a shared vision: to give our customers the best connected experience possible. We’re working together on cutting edge technology to deliver that, and we’re leading the world on the journey to 5G. Adding 5G to the UK’s number one 4G network will increase reliability, increase speeds, and keep our customers connected where they need it most. We have an ambition to connect our customers to 4G, 5G or Wi-Fi 100% of the time.”
